Is BTS’ Swim Copied From Jason Derulo’s Ridin’ Solo? Fans Fact Check!
BTS’s new song SWIM is facing online criticism about plagiarism. A popular TikToker posted a side-by-side comparison between the group’s song and Jason Derulo’s song Ridin’ Solo. The user pointed out a few similar sounds and beats and the video quickly went viral and some people started accusing BTS of copying. A few even said the group should make more original music and wondered why other artists face massive criticism for similar things.
However, many ARMYs defended BTS right away. They explained that small similarities in beats and melodies are very common. Older songs often inspire artists, and it’s normal to use familiar rhythms. Fans said SWIM still feels fresh and true to BTS’s own style. They asked everyone to enjoy the song instead of making quick judgements.
