While many dismiss the fandoms behind boy bands, fans are sharp-eyed and intelligent, often picking up hidden details that casual listeners may miss. The Verdict For BTS’ ARIRANG Album Is Out, ARMYs Love It!
From comparisons to previously released albums to universal praise for the rapline (consisting of RM, SUGA, and J-Hope), fan reactions on X (formerly, Twitter) are largely positive. While some criticized that an all-English song was the title track, most netizens were fans of the songs, including ‘SWIM.’
An X user called ‘ARIRANG’ an album with “no skips”, adding that it had a unique blend of different kinds of music, and was “innovative” to the core. They preemptively called it “album of the year.” A second fan concurred, but considered it a “grown up” version of their first full-length album, which is poetic.
Another user appreciated that the album was “quintessentially BTS.” While many fans were comparing the album to ‘Dark & Wild’, this commenter believed the 2026 tracks were made as a result of their solo careers and connected to them maturing as artists. Another ARMY preemptively called it their favourite BTS album.
A few netizens opined that the title track and music video of an album called ‘ARIRANG’ should have been a Korean track. They added that while they did enjoy ‘SWIM’, they would have “loved” it if the title were in Korean.
