BTS is currently gearing up for their highly anticipated comeback in March next year. According to both Korean and international media reports, along with an album, the group is also preparing for a world tour. The news has excited fans all over the world; however, the number of concerts that BTS will go on next year has upset some Korean fans of the group. Read on to know more.

BTS To Hold 65 Concerts Next Year

On 26 October, Bloomberg reported that BTS plans to hold 65 concerts worldwide in 2026. Interestingly, 30 out of the 65 shows are scheduled to be held in the United States alone. Following group member Suga’s military discharge, the group has been working on releasing a new album in March 2026. This upcoming album will be BTS’ first music release together as a group after 2022.

BTS’s last group performance was on October 15, 2022, during the “Yet to Come in Busan” concert, which was held to support Busan’s bid for the 2030 World Expo. This was the final concert featuring all seven members before their military service enlistments began. The group also concluded their Permission to Dance on Stage tour, which featured 12 concerts across four cities in April 2022, after their 2020 world tour was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reactions From South Korean Fans

While BTS’ international fans are celebrating the tour news, Korean fans of the group are, however, upset. Many are complaining that it is unfair that the group has 30 shows scheduled in America. Korean fans are criticising the group and their company HYBE as they feel that they will barely be able to see the group in their own country. Users are also accusing them of being money-minded because of their concert venue decisions.

Other fans of the group, however, have dismissed this criticism and shut down the backlash by saying that since the official schedule is not out, it is unfair to criticise BTS. The group also always holds many events like listening parties and fanmeets, and encore concerts in South Korea, so the sellout accusations are uncalled for.
