BTS 2.0 MV Teaser
On April 1, BTS surprised fans with a teaser for their song ‘2.0’ through the official HYBE LABELS YouTube channel. This came after Suga hinted that more music videos were on the way. The teaser begins in a dark, old hallway leading to an elevator. Several strong and scary men stand inside the tight space, creating a heavy and tense mood.
Then, the elevator doors open, and BTS’s members step out confidently, looking sharp in stylish suits. Some members can also be seen holding newspapers with bold headlines such as “Brand-New 2.0 Launch”, “Full Strategy Overhaul”, and “2.0’s Hidden Secret Code”. These lines match the song’s theme of change and new beginnings. Lastly, the teaser ends with RM slowly lowering his newspaper, showing his face and unique hairstyle.
This scene feels very similar to an iconic moment in the movie Oldboy. In that film, the main character faces acrowd in a narrow corridor in an intense manner. BTS recreated the same setting, strong face-offs, and camera angles.
