All About Britney Spears’ Arrest
Singer Britney Spears was allegedly arrested in California. As per news reports, the arrest was made by the California Highway Police at 21:30 local time. The incident took place on Wednesday when the singer was arrested on the highway under the suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Reportedly, the singer was driving her “BMW” and was pulled for driving “erratically at a high rate of speed.” The CHP in its statement said that the singer displayed “signs of impairment” and she had to give some series of sobriety tests after being pulled for rash driving. The singer was released from the police custody on Thursday morning. She has to presented before the Ventura County Superior Court on 4 May. The reports of the test are yet to come out.
In a statement to BBC, the representative of Britney Spears called the incident unfortunate. They also stated that the singer would be abiding by the law and help the authorities with the due procedure. The representative expects this to be changing point in her life, and her close members are expected to be around her during these difficult times.
