Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2 Bathtub Scene

The bathtub scene between Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek has fans talking nonstop. Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict, and Yerin Ha, who plays Sophie, recently opened up about filming that intimate sequence with REFINERY 29. They said that by the time they shot the scene, they had already worked on other intimate scenes together, so they felt more comfortable. Still, this one brought its own set of challenges.

Yerin, who is 5 feet 2 inches, shared that the bathtub felt huge for her. She joked about floating away and the crew had to help keep her in place so the camera could capture the right shots. Luke laughed as he remembered how they had to brace themselves to stop her from sliding. Being in water for six long hours tested their patience, but they both agreed it turned out beautiful on screen. The water itself added another layer of difficulty. It was lukewarm at first and felt nice.

The production team sprinkled in flower petals that created a dreamy look and to make the water appear thick and shiny, they poured in an oily mixture. This made everything slippery and turned the actors into what they called two shiny seals sliding around. Luke joked that the crew kept slathering them with more oily mixture, like they were turkeys getting ready for the oven. Yerin laughed and agreed. Despite all the slippery chaos and several hours in the tub, both actors looked back on it fondly. They praised the team for turning the tricky shoot into something truly romantic and worth remembering.
