Another contestant from the popular boy group survival show, Boys Planet II, has been embroiled in a massive controversy. The contestant named Peng Jinyu is currently going viral on both South Korean and Chinese platforms for his past posts, in which Jinyu allegedly made hate comments about several popular groups, including BTS, TWICE, and Aespa. What Peng Jinyu Allegedly Said About BTS, TWICE, Aespa
The controversy started when a number of Jinyu’s past posts and polls shared on Chinese social media platform, Weibo started resurfacing. Jinyu had allegedly locked BTS Jungkook, using derogatory terms and personal attacks at him.
The alleged post read, ‘Jeon Jungkook is dating again. What kind of ‘top’ is he? Top at cheating on his girlfriend? Top at scoring 7 in English and 4 in Math? Top at manipulating YouTube comments and likes? Top at reckless driving? Top at being lovey-dovey with Mijoo and getting matching tattoos? Top at charging headfirst like a wild boar without using his brain? Top at being violent? I heard people say Jungkook is like a wild boar. And DY? DY is a poor ghost who refuses to accept a loss even in games, but still buys gifts. I heard Jungkook is stingy and broke.’
The Boys Planet II contestant was also involved in multiple polls which shaded Korean girl-groups Aespa and TWICE. Peng Jinyu also created and participated in such malicious polls. One specific poll featured the names of the aespa members and read, ‘I participated in a poll named “aespa Karina, Ningning, Winter, Giselle” created by @霸天彭. I chose the option, “aespa fans were in the wrong for provoking first”. Express your opinion~’

These alleged polls have caused massive outrage among the Boys Planet II fandom, with many demanding Peng Jinyu to address the situation and clear his name if he is not guilty. Others feel that the alleged posts were made years ago, when Jinyu was 10 years old; hence, they are something that they can move past.
