Peng Jinyu Publishes Apology Letter For Past Offensive Remarks
In his apology, the Boys Planet II contestant expressed deep shame for the hurtful words he wrote when he was younger. He admitted that he carelessly followed negative fan culture trends and was not aware how much harm his comments would cause to the artists and their fans.
Participating in the show taught him the hard work and dedication needed to perform on stage and made him understand how thoughtless his past remarks were. He also learnt the value of receiving love and support from others.
Peng Jinyu further acknowledged that his apology cannot undo the damage, but he promised to treat the experience as a life lesson. He promised to act with kindness and respect moving forward and committed to becoming a better artist for his fans.

What Did He Say?
As per reports, in the posts, he used harsh and personal insults against BTS member Jungkook and mocked his talents, personal life, and character. Not just this, he also created and joined polls that targeted K-pop girl groups TWICE and Aespa and spread negativity.
After fans found out about these posts, it made them furious.
For the unversed, Peng Jinyu was eliminated in episode 8 of Boys II Planet, some believe he may be preparing for a future debut, which could explain his public apology.
