Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni Row: Latter’s Lawyer Claims Having Access To Data That Will Challenge Blake’s Claims

Blake Lively’s Lawyers Slam Justin Baldoni’s Legal Filing As PR Move Amid Ongoing Court Battle

Blake Lively is to provide her deposition on July 17 as part of the current legal case against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. This was uncovered in a recent court filing by attorneys who represent publicists representing Baldoni, who themselves had been subpoenaed by Lively’s attorneys. The civil trial is set to start in March 2026 in New York, and both parties have agreed that they will both testify in court.

Blake Lively To Be Deposed Against Justin Baldoni

While Blake Lively’s representatives have not formally announced the date, an email dated July 2 and entered into court unequivocally read: “Lively’s deposition is set for July 17.” This is a significant advancement in the celebrity-laden case, which has attracted extensive public and media interest in recent months.

The litigation is a result of serious allegations brought by Lively, who accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation while the film was being produced. Baldoni disputed the accusations, and in retaliation, he brought counterclaims of defamation and attempted extortion by Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. Those claims were dismissed by a federal judge early this year on grounds of insufficient evidence.

Blake Lively’s attorney, Mike Gottlieb, had earlier stated that she is ready in all ways to tell her own side of the story during the trial and views it as an important juncture to speak her truth.

On the other side, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has said he intends to question Lively under oath during the upcoming deposition. In an earlier interview, he mentioned having access to texts, emails, and video footage that he believes will challenge her claims. He even suggested turning the deposition into a public event, with ticket sales going to charities that support victims of abuse.

Following the dismissal of Baldoni’s $400 million counterlawsuit, Lively issued a public statement expressing her commitment to standing up for women’s rights. She said the countersuit was meant to create shame and silence, but it has only strengthened her resolve.
