Blake Lively has opted to drop her recent legal action against three YouTubers in her ongoing case against It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni. The actress has formally dropped subpoenas against creators Kassidy O’Connell, McKenzie Folks, and Lauren Neidigh, ending for the time being a move that drew criticism online.
Blake Lively Drops YouTuber Subpoenas In Justin Baldoni Case
In accordance with recently filed court documents dated July 26, Lively’s attorneys advised the judge that they would no longer seek additional information from the three. The subpoenas previously sought access to extremely personal financial information, such as credit card and bank records, which raised questions and concerns in the digital content community.
In a formal statement to the court, Lively’s lawyers said that, based on the material already shared by the YouTubers publicly and during legal proceedings, there was no need to continue pressing for more. They clarified that the subpoenas were never meant to harass but were part of efforts to uncover whether Baldoni’s team may have coordinated a covert online smear campaign against Lively using platforms like YouTube and X (formerly Twitter).
Though, prior to making the withdrawals official, two of the content creators O’Connell and Neidigh, had already retaliated against the legal team. They termed the subpoenas as unfair and unnecessary. One of them contended that there was no genuine reason to bring creators into the legal battle, while the other accused the demands of being too intrusive and time-consuming.

Although these three creators are no longer part of the case, Lively’s legal team is reportedly continuing to explore potential online attacks and efforts to discredit her, which they believe may be linked to Baldoni’s PR approach.
Central to the case is Blake Lively’s serious accusation of sexual harassment and retaliation during the shoot of It Ends With Us. Baldoni has categorically denied them and has hired a crisis management team to address the issue.
The suit continues, and both are set to be in court on March 9, 2026.
