The 68th Grammy Awards will happen soon, and lists of performers keep getting announced. Now, the latest reports reveal that popular girl group BLACKPINK’s Rosé will perform live at the show. The K-pop idol earned big nominations and will make history as a solo artist on stage. This is a proud moment for her and many fans around the world. Read on to know more about it.
BLACKPINK’s Rosé Sets A Major Milestone
On January 29, the Recording Academy revealed that Rosé will perform at the Grammys. She becomes the first K-pop solo artist ever to perform there. Earlier, BTS was the first K-pop group to appear. They joined a segment with Lil Nas X in 2020, sang ‘Dynamite’ from Seoul in 2021 because of travel restrictions, and performed ‘Butter’ in 2022.
For those of you who don’t know, Rosé is nominated under three categories for her super hit song ‘APT’ with Bruno Mars. The categories are Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. As per reports, this is very special because no song by a K-pop act has ever been nominated in these main categories before.
Fans are very happy for Rosé. She worked hard, and now she gets this huge chance. People look forward to her special performance and what she might achieve. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK plans to release a new mini album in February as a group comeback and everyone’s seated.
