BLACKPINK’s Rosé is on her way to becoming the most successful Korean solo artist in the world! The singer, last year in November, released the song ‘APT’ with Bruno Mars, which instantly became a chart-topping hit globally. The BLACKPINK singer also recently became the only act to receive 8 nominations in the VMAs. BLACKPINK’s Rosé continued to make K-pop fans proud with her numerous achievements. Her critically acclaimed solo album ROSIE recently became the longest charting album on the Billboard 200 chart by a female K-pop act. On August 5, Billboard announced that Rosie had re-entered its Top 200 Albums list, charting at number 168. The list included the most currently most popular albums in the United States.
Thanks to this re-entry, ROSIE has now spent a total of 27 weeks on the Billboard 200, breaking the record previously set by BLACKPINK’s THE ALBUM and NewJeans’ Get Up (both of which charted for 26 weeks each), becoming the “Longest-Charting Album by a K-pop Female Act in history.
BLACKPINK Rosé’s smash hit song ‘APT’ has also been ranked at number 45 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. This makes the song appear on the chart for 41 consecutive weeks on here. This makes the song extend its own record as the longest charting song by a K-pop artist on Billboard’s Hot 100 History.
