BLACKPINK Rosé’s Behind The Scenes Story About Bruno Mars Divides Netizens

During the Vogue interview, BLACKPINK’s Rosé recounted a behind-the-scenes story with Bruno Mars during the shooting of APT’s music video. “Me and Bruno… oh my gosh… I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but I had the biggest fight with Bruno right before the music video shoot. But we made up on set, so it was alright. Oh my god, he’s gonna kill me… Let’s not fight, let’s be friends,” she revealed.

However, what was meant to be a lighthearted and fun anecdote quickly turned controversial once the clip went viral on social media. Some people started criticising the idol for constantly mentioning Bruno Mars in her interviews, which in turn overshadowed her personal achievements. One user wrote, “She built her entire identity around Bruno; it’s actually embarrassing.”

However, BLACKPINK’s Rosé’s fans defended her and shut down all the backlash. They said that it is perfectly normal for the K-pop artist to mention Brino Mars as they are friends. They also noted that her achievements with BLACKPINK and as a solo artist stand on their own, regardless of whom she collaborates with.
