This new project was reportedly discussed on the set of The White Lotus in Thailand. As per reports, Lisa and David Bernad developed the premise after discovering mutual admiration for the classic film, Notting Hill (1999). While the specifics of the film are still under wraps, the influence of Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant will result in a story filled with charm, wit, and the intersection of global fame and everyday life. Silberman, who has an exclusive multi-year deal with Netflix, will write and produce the picture.
Bernad will produce under his Middle Child Productions banner, and Lisa will serve as executive producer alongside Alice Kang. Lisa is experiencing remarkable career growth at the time of this announcement. Aside from her work with BLACKPINK, her solo career skyrocketed last February with the release of Alter Ego, her debut solo album, which topped the Billboard charts. On the film front, she is also preparing for her first major film role in TYGO, an extension of Netflix’s high-octane Extraction franchise.
Recently, the idol also received massive scrutiny for her attendance at the Golden Globe Awards. They said the K-pop star could only attend the event because of her purported lover, Frédéric Arnault.
