Popular BLACKPINK member Lisa made her acting debut with the successful show The White Lotus 3. Her performance as Mook, a crafty and manipulative hotelier at a Thai hotel, received considerable praise. The global success of the show’s first two seasons most certainly increased payments for the cast of the third instalment. But many on the internet are debating whether the alleged amount charged by the K-pop idol is worthy of her screentime.

BLACKPINK Lisa’s Reported Fee For The White Lotus 3

Bagging a role in Mike White’s famous show The White Lotus was a big deal for BLACKPINK Lisa. This led to fans guessing the process that went behind her casting and her fee for the cameo. As per an X (Formerly Twitter) account called Buzzing Pop, Lisa earned 5,52,22,800 KRW (40,000 USD) per episode of the show.

Fans were not happy with this huge amount being given to the idol for a limited screentime role. According to the series’ viewers, the Rockstar singer has too little screen time to be awarded a payout of up to 55 million KRW. They cynically commented on how easy it was for a ‘talentless celebrity’ to accomplish ‘nothing’ while earning a large sum.

One user commented, “They overpaid,” while another said, “Everyone got paid the same amount. It’s how the white lotus works. Equal pay for all. And it’s not about the money. It’s about the exposure and gaining experience and learning how acting works, and getting your foot in the door. I still can’t believe she got on such a big show.”
