BLACKPINK’s Lisa Is All Set To Make History By Becoming First K-Pop Star To Perform At Oscars. We’re So Proud!

After iconic debut performance in the popular series- The White Lotus, BLACKPINK’s Lisa is all set to make history yet again by performing at the 97th Academy Awards. Yes, Lisa would be the first K-pop artist to ever perform and fans are happy to see her shine in front of the world. According to a social media post by the Academy, popular singers like Doja Cat and RAYE will also be performing at the event.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa To Perform At The Oscars

On Monday, February 24, the Academy took to their X (Previously Twitter) and shared details about the stars performing at the 94th Academy Awards. Their caption said, “Three global superstars. One epic #Oscars moment. Doja Cat, LISA of BLACKPINK, and RAYE take the stage for a showstopping celebration of cinema. Watch the Oscars LIVE on Sunday, March 2, at 7e/4p on ABC and Hulu, with Conan O’Brien hosting. Expect the unexpected—only at the Oscars.”

At the event, Lisa will sing her brand-new song, ‘Born Again.’ She will sing alongside Doja Cat and RAYE, who were featured on the song. It will be Born Again’s debut live performance. It was one of the songs on Lisa’s planned first full-length album, ALTER EGO, and it was pre-released on February 7. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo from Wicked will also perform. Also performing will be the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

Where You Can Watch The Oscars

ABC will carry the Academy Awards live, with the start time set for 7 p.m. Eastern/4 p.m. Pacific. On Tuesday, March 2, fans can watch the event starting at 5:30 a.m. The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles will host it. The Oscars will be televised live on Hulu for the first time. Additionally, Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV are available for viewing. The Academy Awards are being hosted by Conan O’Brien for the first time.
