BLACKPINK Lisa’s Coachella Soundcheck Video Goes Viral

Ahead of her Coachella performance, BLACKPINK’s Lisa went viral on the internet after a video from her soundcheck was shared which sparked positive reactions among her fans and followers. The video shows the K-pop idol practising her vocals. In fact, she was spotted in two separate videos practising her performance on her songs ‘Thunder’ and ‘New Woman’.

These viral videos have set the internet on fire with fans hailing her for showcasing her live singing skills. On the other hand, trolls claimed to “hope” that she doesn’t “scam the audience by lip-syncing”. Well, doesn’t look like she plans to!

ICYMI, the singer is all set to perform at Coachella 2025 on April 11, and her fans are waiting with bated breath. While she may have lip-synced during her earlier performances, it looks like the singer decided to let her work do the talking (or rather singing, in this case) instead of responding to the backlash. More About Lip-Syncing Accusations Against Lisa

For the unversed, BLACKPINK’s Lisa was accused of lip-syncing at a high-profile charity event held in New York’s Central Park in September 2024. Fans were upset with the K-pop idol after she was spotted mostly relying on pre-recorded songs and singing live only for a few parts of her iconic performance on a stage that she shared with hit performers like Post Malone and Doja Cat. More so when fans also noticed that she was unable to lip-sync properly to match the lyrics. And it wasn’t the first time she was accused of lip-syncing.

Earlier in September, BLACKPINK’s Lisa was called out for lip-syncing during her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. She was on the internet’s radar after she performed her hit singles ‘Rockstar’ and ‘New Woman’ but did not sing them live and instead allegedly lip-synced to the tracks. However, the K-pop idol made history at the MTV Video Music Award by becoming the first K-pop solo artist to bag the Best K-pop award for her track ‘Rockstar’. Even though fans were over the moon after her historical win, many were left disappointed with her performance. But it seems like she’s all set to redeem herself with her live performance at Coachella 2025.
