BLACKPINK’s comeback single after more than 2 years has finally dropped today. Fans were highly anticipating seeing the music video for their new song ‘JUMP’. The music video received over 1 million likes in an hour, surpassing their previous song ‘Pink Venom’s’ debut record. However, some people are not satisfied with the quality and production of both JUMP’s music video and audio. Here are things that people didn’t like about BLACKPINK’s JUMP.

Experimental Concept Of BLACKPINK’s JUMP Music Video

Many people did not like the concept of the music video. The music video for JUMP is unlike anything that BLACKPINK has done yet. It’s creatively very different from the group’s previous MVs that feature expensive sets and glamorous clothes. JUMP was shot outside with many CGI effects and a large crowd.

AI Use And Bad CGI

Even before its release, the MV for JUMP was plagued by AI use allegations. People felt some aspects of the video were heavily altered or edited using AI. The CGI effects also look cheap and unfinished.

The Music Video felt Incomplete

People also feel that the music video was rushed. There is no choreography featured in the video. This is particularly questionable as JUMP is a techno-inspired dance-heavy track, so not including the dance part in the video is something that does not sit right with the people.

Technical Errors

Other than these, people have also noted some technical errors, like an audio lag in the music video. This is sad as fans feel that after waiting for more than 2 years for a new BLACKPINK song, the least that YG could do was to do a quality check on the content they release for the group.

However, not all is negative, as many people are also praising the music video for being creative and fun. It’s something that BLACKPINK has never tried before and seems like a breath of fresh air in K-pop.
