BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Stars Alongside Seo In Guk In Modern Dating Drama: Plot And Release Date

If you feel that dating nowadays leaves you exhausted, perhaps Boyfriend On Demand‘s premise will entice you. The drama is a romantic comedy that introduces a fascinating concept: a dating subscription service set in the virtual world. Think Minecraft, but for going out with new people. With different types of dates, from the sweet to the impossible, Seo Mi-rae (Jisoo) tries meeting guys virtually while real life leaves her devastatingly single.

Netflix revealed the teaser for Boyfriend On Demand on February 5, featuring the BLACKPINK member going on a bunch of dates in an artificial world. One snippet even has her date going for a kiss! The K-drama will release on March 6, 2026, and fans can’t stop squealing about Jisoo’s antics in the dating simulation program.

More About BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s Boyfriend On Demand

Jisoo plays Mi-rae, who is a webtoon producer with an erratic schedule. Despite wanting to be in love, her work leaves her with scarcely any time to meet new people. Thus, when she discovers virtual dating, her whole world changes. Seo In Guk’s Park Kyeong-nam is a colleague with whom Seo Mi-rae constantly butts heads. In this confrontation between virtual dates and real (but annoying) men, who will win out?

Seo In Guk spoke about “subject matter” touched upon in the series, calling it different because of the parallel love lives in the real and virtual worlds tackled in it. BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, while introducing Mi-rae, said that the character “faces realistic problems and struggles” as she goes through life and attempts to get into a relationship.
