BLACKPINK Jennie Announces First Photo Exhibition To Mark Birthday
On December 30, BLACKPINK Jennie announced that she is holding her first photo exhibition in Seoul to mark the K-pop idol’s 30th birthday. The poster that was revealed along with the announcement instantly drew the audience’s attention. It featured a sculptural close-up of the BLACKPINK singer’s face layered into multiple segments, alongside the exhibition dates.
The photo exhibition will entail JENNIE’s “ most authentic fragments discovered in unintentional moments.” It will feature unreleased pictures taken of the idol when she was 25, photographed by iconic Korean photographers Hong Jang Hyun, Shin Sun Hye, and Mok Jung Wook. A photobook consisting of unpublished pictures will also be released.
The exhibition is of great significance to BLACKPINK Jennie as she personally participated in every stage of the project, its publication, planning and presentation. The opening date for the event will be Januar16, the same day as the artist’s birthday.
Instead of using a traditional photo display, the exhibition intends to provide visitors with a new experience through immersive spatial direction, designed as an environment that truly represents the BLACKPINK members’ perspective and emotions.
Melon Ticket will begin accepting reservations for tickets for the JENNIE PHOTO EXHIBITION “J2NNI5” on January 9 at 8 PM. The entire revenue from ticket sales will be donated.
