BLACKPINK Jennie Makes History With Solo Debut Album Ruby
Many netizens and publications alike are labelling Ruby as the best K-pop album released this year. On 3rd December, the famous US magazine Rolling Stone ranked BLACKPINK Jennie’s album in spot #29 of their 100 Best Albums of 2025, marking the highest position ever achieved by a K-pop artist.
She was also named as Forbes Korea’s Idol of the Year 2025, proving her strong global influence and status in the industry. The song ‘LIKE JENNIE’ was ranked the 43rd Most Streamed Song of 2025 worldwide streaming platform Spotify. This was the highest position for a K-pop song released this year. The songs also ranked 62nd on Apple Music’s Top 100: Global 2025 year-end chart.
BLACKPINK Jennie’s first solo album, Ruby, consists of 15 tracks across multiple genres. The album’s title track, ‘LIKE JENNIE,’ went viral globally for its high production and signature choreography. The K-pop idol was praised for her personal involvement in the album and how it reflected her identity and musical potential.
