BLACKPINK’s Jennie shared news about her track FALLEN ANGEL on August 26. She posted a poster and details on how to pre-order the album. Soon after, some people said the design and colour choices looked close to Ariana Grande’s Supernatural and a piece called ‘Spiritual Ascension’ by the group Cherie Amour. They pointed to matching layouts and tones as proof of copying.

Not everyone agreed. A number of supporters said the fallen angel theme naturally leads to similar images. They argued that shared ideas do not mean one artist took from another. Fans pushed back hard and tried to show why the claims felt weak. Still, other voices stayed firm and insisted the Seoul City singer had copied the look.
So far, no one from Jennie’s team or the other artists has given any official statement. The talk continues among online users without a clear end.

On the music side, the BLACKPINK member plans to put out her new digital EP called Fallen Angel on August 28, 2026. It will come through her label Odd Atelier and Columbia Records. The release includes the main song Fallen Angel, another track named Heaven, and the earlier single Less Than a Lover. A physical version will follow later and add three extra songs. This project arrives after her busy stretch of big festival shows around the world and the success of her first solo album, Ruby.
