K-pop fans always share their thoughts, good or bad. If they think something unfair is happening to their favourite group, they show their anger. Likewise, they express joy for happy events. They shared their strong opinions on X. Read on!
Many fans felt let down by this news. Some stated that the fans should directly message the group members on social media. They believed the group’s choice to renew their contract with YG Entertainment was a mistake and felt that it harmed Blackpink’s legacy. Some even thought it would have been better if the group had stopped working together two years ago. They even demanded to boycott YG Entertainment products and for the new song to be released quickly.
Fans also expressed a need for Blackpink to explain the situation. They saw the decision as disrespectful to Blinks. Other fans felt that Blackpink itself was part of the problem. While these fans still cared for the group, they mentioned that there were things the members could have managed better.
Concerns Over Blackpink’s Solo Work And Delays
There was also frustration about solo music releases and promotions. Fans thought these should have happened in 2024, not 2025. They felt the group renewed their contract and then purposely slowed down group activities. Some fans blamed the members for these delays.
i hope BLACKPINK takes ownership of their group name and establishes their own label, just like they did as solo artists, or find a label. YG no longer suits them and i wish they’d see this and move forward. the girls lurk on here, and i hope they know how disappointed we feel.

These incidents led to many fans reselling their concert tickets. They did this because Blackpink’s tour was starting with only one new song, and there was no clear date for a new album or a full group return.
