With the ‘Boombayah’ team to mark its return to group activities after shifting focus to solo endeavours, expectations are high. Here’s all that we know about ‘DEADLINE’ so far!

BLACKPINK DEADLINE Comeback: Concept Pictures, Tracklist, And More!

On the heels of their world tour, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa will unveil four new songs alongside ‘Jump’, the pre-release single. They performed this one at their group concerts all through last year and in January this year. The quartet’s official social media dropped two sets of eye-catching concept images of all members on February 8.

Featuring the four women in stunning white outfits, the ‘Statue’ version seems to highlight their physical stature as they stand tall in various model-esque poses. On the flipside, the ‘Red light’ version (pictured below) is more zoomed in, as if focusing on their psyche. With diametrically opposite posters, there’s much to look forward to.

As mentioned before, BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE will have five tracks in all. Apart from ‘Jump‘, ‘Go’ is the EP’s lead single. The other three songs are ‘Me and My’, ‘Champion’, and ‘Fxxxboy’. According to YG Entertainment, ‘DEADLINE’ will showcase “unrepeatable peak moments.”

Fans React To BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE Concept

Although there have rumours of a supposed disbandment following their recent tour, many consider that the group will go strong in their tenth year together. BLINKs took to social media to share their excitement for the pictures, saying the girls “ate” the concept. Some were disappointed that it took so long to release the concept images, but most appreciated them nonetheless. A few felt that the quality of the tracklist had taken a downturn, especially because fewer songs were being released this time.
