BLACKPINK To Begin Filming New Music Video Ahead Of December Comeback!

The agency shared an update on the group's upcoming album.

Global K-pop sensation BLACKPINK is officially making their long-awaited comeback! After months of speculation, their agency, YG Entertainment, has confirmed that the group is set to begin filming their new music video this week, with an album scheduled for release in December. YG Entertainment Shares Important Update On BLACKPINK’s Comeback

The group’s music label, YG Entertainment, issued an official statement to Korean media outlets confirming the news about BLACKPINK’s upcoming comeback. In their statement, the agency stated,  “BLACKPINK will start filming their new music video this week. Both the members and staff will do their utmost until the very end to deliver the best results.” 

Along with the comeback news, YG Entertainment also expressed gratitude to the group’s fans, known as BLINK, for patiently waiting for BLACKPINK. The company also expressed gratitude to BLINKs (BLACKPINK’s fandom) for their patience. “We want to express our gratitude to fans who are waiting for BLACKPINK’s comeback. The album is in the final stages of perfecting its musical quality. Once we finish preparations, we will deliver good news through official promotions,” the statement added.

BLACKPINK’s comeback announcement comes after months of speculation. Earlier this month, some Korean outlets reported that the group was working on their upcoming album; however, nothing was officially confirmed. YG’s latest statement has made fans extremely excited, who have already made this news viral across all social media platforms. 

Their Recent Activities

BLACKPINK’s last full-length group album, BORN PINK, was released in 2022 and went on to become a global success with singles like ‘PINK VENOM’and ‘Shut Down’.  Earlier this year, the group kicked off their global “DEADLINE” world tour and dropped their digital single ‘JUMP’ in July.

After a long wait of 3 years, this new album is expected to showcase a new era of BLACKPINK. The members, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose also embarked on their successful solo careers earlier this year, and fans are expected to see them add their individual flair to the group’s album by participating in its making process. Industry insiders also predict that the album will have a high production and concept value as well.
