BJP Disagrees With Kangana Ranaut’s Controversial Remarks Over Farmers Protests

On Monday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reprimanded actor and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut for her previous remarks on the farmers’ protest and linking them to the unrest in Bangladesh. In a statement, the Bharatiya Janata Party stated that Kangana Ranaut’s remarks regarding the farmers’ protest do not align with the party’s position. Furthermore, Kangana Ranaut does not have the authority to speak on the BJP’s policy matters.

BJP Reprimands Kangana Ranaut On Her Controversial Remarks On Farmers Protest

Previously, Kangana Ranaut caused controversy with her statement saying that the farmers’ protest might have resulted in a situation similar to that of Bangladesh if the Narendra Modi government had not taken strong action. In a video posted by the actress on her X(Former Twitter) handle, Kangana stated that, due to farmers’ protests, a situation like the one in Bangladesh could have occurred in India. External forces are conspiring to harm people with the help of insiders. If it weren’t for the country’s leadership, they would have succeeded. However, the BJP has reprimanded Kangana over her remarks on the farmers’ protests. In an official statement, the Bharatiya Janata Party directed the actor to refrain from making such statements in the future. The party further emphasised its devotion to communal unity by chanting the slogan, “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Aur Sabka Prayaas.”

Kangana Ranaut has been in the spotlight before for her controversial comments on the farmers’ protest that happened in 2020-21 against the farm laws that were later revoked. During the farmers’ protest, on the popular social media platform, X, she misidentified an elderly woman as Bilkis Bano. She stated that the woman was willing to participate in protests for ₹100. On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in Emergency which will be released on September 6.
