‘Bijli’ Song Review: Kiara And Vicky’s Dance Number Has Sexist Lyrics With Upbeat Music. Nothing New Again!
We are literally tired now!

Item songs are an important element in Bollywood films like salt in any dish. No matter what the genre is, it can never go without a dance number. No matter how annoying that it is, the audience probably loves to see it anyways. And on that note, we have been served with a new item song from Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film, Govinda Mera Naam. It also stars Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar in key roles. The song released from the movie is titled ‘Bijli’. Vicky and Kiara can be seen grooving to the song with an interesting hook step. The lead singers of the song are Mika Singh and Neha Kakkar. And here’s our take on it. And the sexist lyrics are disappointing again.

Bijli, Bijli, Bijli, the music is still ringing in my ears. And well why not, such songs are made to stay with you. Therefore the key focus is to keep electric, upbeat music with a chorus that is easy to remember. ‘Bijli’ also does not have anything new. The same sexist lyrics and sensuous dance moves that have been performed by the actors with dynamic energy. The lyrics of this song have been penned down by Vayu and it has been composed by the famous duo, Sachin-Jigar. As the brief of the song goes, it is an electrifying dance song, and undoubtedly it is.
From the entertainment point of view, it will definitely serve the purpose of making you dance to its beats. But are we not done with such songs already? The lyrics of the song will clearly make you go, “What??” Some efforts here, please? Kiara Advani has done a pretty decent job with her dancing skills and Vicky Kaushal’s energy is unmatchable.
