And in recent events, actor Jannat Zubair has backed her friend and contemporary Ashnoor Kaur and slammed Kunickaa Sadanand, Tanya Mittal, and Neelam Giri on social media for body-shaming her. Jannat Zubair Backs Ashnoor Kaur
On Tuesday, October 28, Jannat Zubair took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “A person’s body is not public property for jokes and opinions. It’s 2025. We should’ve evolved past body shaming by now. She’s on that stage because she’s talented, confident and unstoppable, not because she fits someone’s idea of a “perfect body”. Proud of you @ashnoorkaur for holding your head high and being you!”
Ashnoor’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai co-star and former Bigg Boss 10 contestant Rohan Mehra also spoke out in her defence on social media. He condemned the incident, calling out those involved and emphasising that body shaming should never be tolerated. Rohan and Ashnoor previously played siblings in the popular television show.
For the unversed, during a recent episode of Bigg Boss 19, Neelam Giri asked Kunickaa Sadanand and Tanya Mittal if they wanted to watch Jurassic Park, while pointing at Kaur as she sat with Pranit More. Kunickaa instantly started laughing after hearing this. Tanya and Neelam also talked about Ashnoor’s sudden weight gain despite working out in the gym every day.

Tanya noticed that after losing a lot of weight, Ashnoor has regained part of it. She specifically stated that as a result of this recent growth, Ashnoor now resembles her mother.
