Its a good news for Bigg Boss fans as the 19 season is about to premiere in August 2025 with several major changes. This time, Salman Khan won’t be the only one hosting the famous show in the season. Recent reports suggest many new introductions like a digital-first rollout, a five-month runtime, and a rotating panel of celebrity hosts. Read to know all about it below!
All About Bigg Boss 19
As per Screen, the show is set to premiere on the weekend of August 29-30. For the first time, Bigg Boss will premiere on OTT platform JioCinema before appearing on TV. Each episode will be released on the streamer first, followed by a TV premiere on Colours TV. This digital release is a strategy to expand the show’s digital footprint. And while our favourite Salman Khan will be hosting the show, his stint will only remain till the first three months of the show. After this, the show will be hosted by many known celebs like Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Anil Kapoor.
The makers are still confused on whether these celebs would host the show individually or would make the rounds every few weeks. Salman Khan is however expected to return to host the grand finale of Bigg Boss 19. The show is slated to begin with approximately 15 candidates, with an additional 3-5 wild card entries joining later. So far, over 20 celebrities and influencers have been contacted.

The tentative participants of this season are- Ram Kapoor, Gautami Kapoor, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Alisha Panwar, Anita Hassanandani, Lataa Saberwal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Munmun Dutta, Tanushree Dutta, Sharad Malhotra, Mamta Kulkarni, Paras Kalnawat, Mr Faisu, Krishna Shroff, Gaurav Taneja, Apoorva Mukhija, Chinki Minki, Purav Jha, Khushi Dubey, Arshifa Khan, Mickey Makeover, Kanika Mann, Daisy Shah, and Raj Kundra.
