Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s epic combo is back with Bhooth Bangla! The film follows Arjun, played by Akshay Kumar, a man living abroad with his family. His sister, essayed by Mithila Palkar, is about to get married. Their father is portrayed by Jisshu Sengupta. When the siblings hear about their late grandfather’s huge palace in India, they decide it would be the perfect spot for the wedding. Arjun travels there first to check everything and get things ready. He hires a wedding planner, brought to life by Paresh Rawal, who adds a lot of chaos and wit. Rajpal Yadav plays the local electrician full of funny quirks, while Asrani Ji appears as the palace caretaker who knows all the old secrets.
As Arjun settles in, he starts uncovering strange stories about the town’s curse. Locals warn that couples avoid getting married there because of mysterious troubles. What begins as simple preparations turns into a bigger adventure filled with surprises. Arjun follows clues about the haunting, which leads to more twists and funny situations involving the whole team.
Audience reactions have been divided since the release. Many people enjoyed the first half for its nonstop comedy that feels like classic Priyadarshan style, which is full of silly gags, timing, and light-hearted fun. Akshay Kumar stuns with his goofy expressions and comic style.
The group scenes with Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani Ji often leave theatres roaring with laughter because of their natural chemistry.
