A few days back, the news of Bengali actor Rahul Banerjee’s sudden demise due to drowning left many shocked and heartbroken. The actor was reportedly in Orissa for a shoot. After his death, his wife Priyanka Sarkar also issued an official notice. The AICWA also released a statement and asked for a probe into the matter. What Did The Producers Say?
The producers of the show Bhole Baba Sab Paar Karenge, a show that Rahul Banerjee was shooting in Orissa, have released an official statement addressing the allegations. The producers have sent condolences for this loss, and also expressed grief. As per PTI, the producers also said that they would need some time to gather all the information about the crew and cast who were present during the time of the incident. The statement added that they would do the process in a structured way for the report to be detailed and accurate.
Furthermore, they have also requested that any member of the family, the actor’s friends, or the West Bengal Motion Picture Artists’ Forum join the investigation and be assured of the transparency in the probe. The statement also addressed the details of the events surrounding the actor’s unfortunate death. As per which, the actor was alive and was even trying to communicate when he was rescued from the deep waters. But there was no doctor available at the hospital, and therefore, he had to be immediately taken to Digha State General Hospital, where he was declared dead by the doctors. They have also dismissed reports of the actor being underwater for several hours. They have assured full cooperation in the probe.
