In the list of clashes we didn’t see coming in 2025 (which is a long list by the way), we have former US President Barack Obama listening to the famous ‘JUMP’ by BLACKPINK. This has made many Blinks excited to see their favourite group get the national recognition that it deserves. He has included this track in his favourite list of songs from this year as his annual tradition of sharing the books, films, and music that defined his year.
Barack Obama On ‘JUMP’ By BLACKPINK
Barack Obaram wrote, “As 2025 comes to a close, I’m continuing a tradition that I started during my time in the White House: sharing my annual lists of favourite books, movies, and music,” while sharing the list. While there were many other songs like ‘Abracadabra’ by Lady Gaga and ‘Luther’ by Kendrick Lamar and SZA, fans couldn’t help but notice a BLACKPINK song called ‘JUMP’ and since then can’t keep their calm.
The song came out on July 11 and marked their first digital single as a full group after almost three long years. ‘JUMP’ made its live debut during BLACKPINK’s World Tour DEADLINE’s opening night in Goyang, South Korea, giving fans a taste of the group’s new music, and the response was epic. An all-star lineup comprising TEDDY, Diplo, 24, Zikai, Claudia Valentina, Jumpa, Malachiii, and Jesse Bluu wrote the single, which was produced by Diplo, 24, Boaz Van De Beatz, Zecca, and Ape Drums.

Sonically, ‘JUMP’ leans on hardstyle influences, with pounding drums and rapid tempo changes. Each member – Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa records a specific moment. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know.
