Badshah’s ‘Tateeree’ song caused a lot of stir after its release over its alleged visuals and lyrics. As a result, the Haryana State Commission for Women issued a notice to the rapper, asking him to appear before the panel by Friday, March 13, at 3 pm regarding the song’s objectionable lines and visuals. The chairperson, Renu Bhatia, reportedly stated that strict action would be taken if he does not appear before the deadline. Since he failed to do so, the commission has requested an order for his arrest. Know all the details below.

Haryana State Commission For Women Orders Badshah’s Arrest

While conversing with the media, the Haryana State Commission for Women’s chairperson, Renu Bhatia, revealed that she had ordered SP of Panipat to arrest Badshah from anywhere, any place, and issue search orders. The rapper’s passport has been asked to be seized so that he cannot go out of India. Bhatia mentioned that the ‘Mercy’ artist was asked to append before the commission on March 13 because of ‘Tateeree,’ in which “Haryana’s daughters have been insulted with inappropriate words and language.”The chairperson also said that the FIRs have been registered in Panchkula and Jind and that a request has been sent to the National Commission for Women (NCW) to make sure that none of his concerts is permitted to take place in the country.

What Did Badshah’s Lawyer Say?

While speaking with the reporters in Panipat, Badshah’s lawyer stated that they had brought an authority letter from the musician and sought more time because the summons was not received. It was further said that the rapper had apologised for hurting sentiments and that ‘Tateeree’ has been removed from YouTube, adding that everyone has the right to present their side under the law, but here that is not being given. According to media reports, a statement issued by Haryana police mentioned that multiple teams have been formed and raids were being carried out to trace the rapper. 

Once the controversy surrounding the song sparked, Badshah shared a video online clarifying that he never intended to talk badly about any minor or woman from Haryana. He also apologised to the people who were hurt because of ‘Tateeree.
