Indians love an action thriller with a splash of police masala to it and if you are someone who is into such a genre then rejoice because Disney+Hotstar has finally revealed the trailer for its upcoming series titled Bad Cop starring Gulshan Deviah in the lead role, with Anurag Kashyap, Saurabh Sachdeva and Harleen Sethi. The series is directed by Aditya Datt and is set to release on 21st June 2024 on the streaming platform. 

Gulshan Deviah In Bad Cop Trailer

Gulshan Deviash plays the character of Karan and Arjun, who are identical twins but far apart in their personalities. One is a police officer while the other is a cunning thief and their lives take a different turn when they meet each other again. Anurag Kashyap plays the role of the antagonist  Kazbe Mama in the movie who wants to kill Karan with his hand. Harleen Sethi plays the good cop in the film who is also married to Karan but is his senior in the post. 

Gulshan Deviah, Anurag Kashyap Speak About Bad Cop

In a recent interview, Gulshan Deviah discussed about the series and said that the story of Bad Cop is everything entertaining and does not pretend to be anything else. The actor also revealed he chose to do Bad Cop because of the characters of Karan and Arjun and how they are opposites. He also expressed the challenges he faced while shooting for the series as he had to do a lot of action scenes which wasn’t easy for him at all.  During the same interview, Anurag Kashyap too spoke about his character Kabze Mama and how he is a one-of-a-kind villain who has a charismatic and lethal aura. Anurag also shared he was scared and sceptical about shooting the gory scenes of the series and was inspired by Nana Patekar from the Parinda movie and Irrfan Khan from Haasil.

The series will start streaming on the Disney+Hotstar app on the 21st of June 2024.
