It’s hard to ignore how much social media has got involved itself in our daily lives. For many, the urge to constantly check apps has become almost automatic, like a habit they can’t easily shake. Even celebrities like Babil Khan have shared their thoughts during an exclusive interview. It was a bittersweet answer, so read on to know more about it!

Babil Khan On Social Media Obsession

On being asked if there was a time in his life where he was actually obsessed with social media. He responded, “I was, after my Baba passed. I felt like I had to reciprocate. I had to respond to the love I was getting. Because people were really supportive at that time. So, I thought that that time I was really on it because I felt like I had a responsibility to respond. Because it was not just my loss, you know. It felt like it was collective. So, I felt like I had to respond. So, at that time I had gotten obsessed.”

In response, the interviewer asked, How did he take a step back? He said, “I need to stop? Because there was never a habit from the start, it was not difficult to log out, you know. It just… I did…  When that phase got over, I just… It was not difficult at all. Honestly.  Because it was never habitual. It’s not been in my nature.

On the work front, Babil Khan will be soon seen in a psychological thriller, Logout.  It is directed by Amit Golani, and it will premiere on Zee5 on April 18th.
