Following Rowoon’s enlistment news, the announcement of Cha Eun Woo enlisting in the military has left fans emotional.
It’s a sad day for all K-drama lovers, as after former SF9 member and popular actor Rowoon, now another Korean heartthrob, Cha Eunwoo’s enlistment date has been revealed. Known for his amazing visuals and excellent performances in hit dramas like True Beauty, My ID is Gangnam Beauty, and more, the actor will join the Republic of Korea Army Military Band on July 28, 2025. Many fans are sad about his upcoming absence, but they are also proud of him fulfilling his duty.
When Will South Korean Actor Cha Eun Woo Enlist In The Military?
According to OSEN, on May 29, 2025, the Military Manpower Administration announced that the True Beauty star passed the Army Military Band recruitment. Earlier, his agency Fantagio had confirmed that Cha Eun Woo applied in March and completed an interview on May 9. Now, the results of the True Beauty star securing the spot are out. He will start basic training in July and will serve 18 months as an active-duty soldier. His discharge is expected around January 2027. Cha Eunwoo is the second ASTRO member to enlist, following MJ, who served from May 2022 to November 2023 in the military band.

All About South Korean Military Band You Need To Know
The military band is a part of the army that performs at ceremonial events and requires musical skills. As per reports, many K-pop idols like SF9’s Inseong, Block B’s P.O., BTS’s RM, and more have served or are currently serving in the military band.

On the work front, the actor was featured in the music video of IU’s A Beautiful Person (featuring Balming Tiger).
