The chilling accusations in the former merchant navy officer turned astrologer Ashok Kharat’s case have caught many people’s attention. Now adding to the list, reports have surfaced that a man named Vikas Ramdas Divate had mentioned his name in his suicide note back in 2022. Vikas’ brother Rajendra has shared chilling details of what followed after his brother passed away in Shirdi. Read on and know all about the same below!

Ashok Kharat’s Name Mentioned In Su*cide Note

According to a report by NDTV, Vikas Ramdas Divate had blamed his in-laws and Ashok Kharat for su*cide in 2022. As per the reports, the note mentioned that he was ending his life by hanging himself. He wrote, “The person responsible for my death is ‘Captain’ Kharat from Nashik. My in-laws are also responsible.” Vikas penned that the astrologer had threatened him over the phone, and all those calls were recorded on his mobile phone. He urged that action must be taken against them after his death. In the note he also mentioned the passcode to unlock his phone.

What Did Vikas’ Brother Say?

Vikas Ramdas Divate’s brother Rajendra reportedly stated that the police included Ashok Kharat’s name in the FIR based on the su*cide note and the family’s complaint. However, attempts were made to protect him even though Vikas had harassment claims against him. Kharat’s name was not mentioned in the chargesheet and was later given a clean chit, adding that no action was taken. 

Now the abatement to su*cide case against the astrologer is being reopened by the police, and that Kharat’s role in the case will be investigated again. Additionally, the authorities have also asked people who may have been wronged by the r*pe accused to come forward and register a complaint.
