For the unversed, Tanya, Neelam Giri, and Kunickaa Sadanand had previously made distasteful remarks about the actress’s body. Gurmeet Singh gave his clarification on the situation after Tanya’s recent accusation became the talk of the town.

What Did Ashnoor Kaur’s Father Clarify?

Talking about the situation, Ashnoor Kaur’s father, Gurmeet Singh, took to his Instagram stories and penned that he came across a few videos suggesting that he told Ashnoor to “take advantage” of the bodyshaming remarks that Tanya Mittal made. He clarified that it wasn’t true and that his words were taken out of context. Gurmeet Singh recalled that when Ashnoor asked him about forgiving Tanya, the conversation had nothing to do with the bodyshaming situation. He stated that it was a “light, fun moment” and most of that was not showed on television. Gurmeet Singh added that the episode edits gave a different meaning to what he intended to say and opined that it was not fair to everyone involved.

Adding to that, Ashnoor’s father also added that it was truly heartfelt to see all the contestants sitting at the table when he brought home-cooked food. He asked the fans not to believe the false narratives. Gurmeet Singh also shared that he needed to uplift his daughter and not pull anyone down. He expressed that he left on a positive note before cherishing every moment he spent with each contestant.
