On April 12, the Indian film and musical industry lost a gem. The veteran singer Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92. She was hospitalised in the Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai, on April 11, as per the reports. The singer’s demise was confirmed by her son. Many celebrities from the industry, including global star Priyanka Chopra, penned a note after Asha Bhosle’s death. She recalled some sweet memories with the singer in this note. Read on.

The Bajirao Mastani star took to her social media handle to share a throwback picture with singer Asha Bhosle. In the caption, Priyanka Chopra wrote it was a loss that felt like losing a part of her childhood, memories and home. She hailed the singer’s exceptional voice and called it a “backdrop of our lives”. The actor further acknowleged the singer’s contribution to the musical industry and how it has become part of our everyday lives. She called Asha Bhosle a legend whom everybody admired, and wrote that her voice was eternal.
