Recently, the Video Music Awards (VMA) nominations for this year were revealed and the internet is all buzzing. In particular, BTS fans, aka ARMY, are upset that Jin, V and J-Hope didn’t receive any nominations despite their successful projects. Read on to know more!
BTS Jin, J-Hope Snubbed By 2025 VMA Nominations
Fans absolutely noticed that J-Hope’s, V’s, and Jin’s names were absent from the VMA nominations. They were disappointed, as they had high hopes for them to be nominated in categories like Best K-Pop or Best Choreography. The only BTS member to be nominated was Jimin, who secured a nomination for his song ‘Who’ in the Best K-Pop category.
While fans celebrated his nomination, they expressed sadness about how other members were neglected. Many pointed towards industry politics, as even less impactful songs made the list.
we all know the @vmas is rigged and paid for but the intentional snob to jin and jhope who both outsold many of the nominees for kpop is laughable to me.

In response, one angry fan wrote that the VMAs overlooked Jin and J-Hope unfairly. They also called the awards popularity-driven rather than merit-based.
Another fan questioned how J-Hope, a top-charting K-pop soloist with viral singles, was left out of the Best K-Pop category. Whereas others asked others to focus on supporting and voting for Jimin.
For the unversed, the Best K-Pop category features a crazy lineup. The nominees include Aespa’s Whiplash, Jennie’s Like Jennie, Jisoo’s Earthquake, Lisa featuring Doja Cat and Raye’s Born Again, Stray Kids’ Chk Chk Boom, Rosé’s Toxic Till the End, and Jimin’s Who.
