BTS ARMY is one such fandom that never hesitates to hold people accountable and voice out their thoughts. There have been many instances when fans have noticed issues and urged the agency to take action. This has happened once again after Jimin’s solo song ‘Letter’ was uploaded on Spotify under someone else’s name and was listed as their own work. Read on to know more about it.

According to posts on X, a person named Miryusif Mammadli, also known as Mirey3m, claimed the copyright for the acoustic version of Jimin’s Letter on January 21, 2024. They registered the song on multiple platforms and presented it as their own. Upon finding this, fans took to their social media platforms and demanded BTS agency BIGHIT MUSIC take legal action. For the ARMY, Letter isn’t just any ordinary song. It’s a deeply personal track written by Jimin for his fans. Therefore, stealing it felt totally unacceptable and unethical.

One fan was confused and furious about how a major company like BIGHIT MUSIC is relying on fans to catch such issues. They questioned the agency’s management and asked them to protect their artists better.

Another fan called the incident outright theft and demanded the song be removed from the unauthorised profile. They weren’t just angry about the song but also about the lack of protection for Jimin’s work.

For the unversed, Letter is a hidden track from Jimin’s debut solo album, FACE. It’s a special CD-only song and is not available on streaming platforms. The track is a heartfelt letter to fans and also features Jungkook’s vocals in the background.
