Arjun Kapoor Reveals Why He Didn’t Say Anything When Deepika Padukone Bashed Journalist Over Dress Controversy!

Many times actresses have had some bitter encounters with the journalists. One of them was of Deepika Padukone over her response to a dress controversy. Actor Arjun Kapoor was also present there and he recently opened up about the recall during an interview with Mashable India. The actor hailed DP’s mature way of handling the situation and also gave a very valid reason why he did not interfere in the matter.

Arjun Kapoor was appreciated for his performance in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. He did a fun and candid interview for Mashable India’s Mashable Mehfil hosted by Sushri Sahu. The actor recalled Deepika Padukone’s fight with a reporter during a press conference in 2014. So for the unversed, Deepika had once slammed a magazine for commenting on her dress. Later during a press conference, a female reporter called DP’s comment a petty issue. Recalling this, Arjun Kapoor said that DP handled the situation really well, and he stood there only to support her because the actress stood up for herself and that’s the real feeling of empowerment. Arjun Kapoor also said that DP’s response was justified because a line was crossed.

For the unversed, Deepika Padukone was quite angry with the female reporter’s comment and asked the paparazzi to focus their cameras on her. She was also shocked to get such a statement from a female journalist.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD. The actress is currently on a break from films as she recently had her first baby with Ranveer Singh. It’s a daughter and they have named their child Dua.
