On many occasions, social media users have been held accountable for working with artists who have been allegedly accused of serious crimes against women. Recently, Twitter has accused singer and music composer AR Rahman of the same, after his picture with choreographer Jani Master surfaced on social media. As per the reports, the choreographer was accused in a POCSO case. The fans have questioned the selective accountability of celebrities in these cases, and how men always get away with such crimes while victims are left to be blamed. Read on.
AR Rahman Criticised
Choreographer Jani Master took to his Twitter handle to share a picture with AR Rahman. In the caption he mentioned about working with the composer for a song titled ‘Chikiri Chikiri’ in Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Peddi. In the note, Jani Master also expressed gratitude to the film’s director and the excitement of working with AR Rahman, an artist who he grew up watching.
However, this tweet was not received well on the platform. Many people came forward to bash AR Rahman for collaborating with an artist who was reportedly accused of s*xually harassing a minor. As per an India Today report, Jani Master was allegedly accused of harassing an assistant a minor assistant choreographer.

Fans were shocked to see the choreographer still getting work in the industry. Others called out the ‘male solidarity’ that lets alleged culprits get work while the victim are pushed to the corner. Fans of AR Rahman also expressed their disappointment with the singer.
