Content-creator-turned-actor Apoorva Mukhija is currently reviving from the major backlash and scrutiny she received during India’s Got Latent row. After this, the actor has been seen taking it slow, and it looks like she might not be going to the Cannes Film Festival this year. During a recent Q&A session, she gave a tongue-in-cheek reply to a follower asking for her debut, which indicated that she might not be going after all.

On Monday, May 12, during an interaction on Instagram, Apoorva Mukhija revealed that she will not be going to the Cannes Film Festival this year. During a Q&A session, one social media user asked others about a creator they wanted to see attend the festival, and one of them mentioned Apoorva. The Nadaaniyan actor reposted it and wrote, “Gaali nahi khani.” While she was reportedly set to walk the red carpet, after this reply, it might seem like she won’t.

The 78th Cannes Film Festival will be taking place from May 13 to May 24, 2025. This time, the Indian dominance on the carpet would be much-anticipated with prominent figures like Alia Bhatt, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, Payal Kapadia, Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Anupam Kher, and more ready to slay. This time, celebs have to be extra careful due to the new ‘no n*de’ dress code by the organisers.

A viral clip of both her and Ranveer Allahbadia upset a lot of social media users and politicians, leading to multiple FIRS being filed against them. The content creator was last seen in Nadaaniyan alongside Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan, which also received major online backlash due to the nepotism tag.
