During a recent conversation, Anurag Kashyap opened up about being so emotionally intense that he walked out of his daughter’s wedding ceremony until his friend Vikramaditya Motwane intervened.
Anurag Kashyap Almost Walked Out Of Aaliyah’s Wedding
During a wholesome conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap opened up about his daughter’s wedding. He said, “I had the same feeling when my daughter was born. I don’t know why I cried so much, but I did. And at her wedding, I cried non-stop for ten days. I don’t even know why and in front of random people.”
These emotions peaked during the wedding ceremony of Aaliyah Kashyap, particularly after the varmala and havan. Kashyap revealed feeling so overwhelmed that he wanted to walk out even before the reception began. That’s when his friend Vikramaditya Motwane took him for a long walk and calmed him down.

While celebrating his daughter’s milestone, Anurag Kashyap made news for his frank assessment of the current state of Bollywood. In a separate interview with the same publication, the filmmaker expressed dissatisfaction with the industry’s profit-driven mindset, concern with remakes, and growing production expenses, which he says are stifling originality.
