Rupali Ganguly has addressed a plot in Anupamaa where the show sheds light on male abuse. As per a Hindustan Times article, the actor said that the makers of the show need to be hailed for speaking about an issue that has been hushed in the society and are still considered to be a taboo.
Rupali Ganguly firmly believed that there were many things in the society that are not spoken about or voiced out, however, she was glad that Anupamaa was used as a mouthpiece to speak up against the atrocities that men are subjected to. She also expressed pride in being a part of the show and producer Rajan Shahi’s vision. She further hailed the writers of the show for raising these issues through the story.
What Is The Plot?
In Anupamaa, there was a subplot involving Moti Baa’s niece Kirti who mentally tortured and manipulated her husband while being the most perfect wife in front of others. The harsh truth was brought to the forefront by Anupamaa.
