On February 20, India woke up to the miserable news of actor Rituraj K Singh’s passing away. From films to TV, the actor has shown his range on every platform. Due to a sudden cardiac arrest on the night of February 19, Rituraj K Singh passed away at the age of 59. He was recently seen in the popular daily soap Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly. A close friend of the actor confirmed the news of his death to the media.
Rituraj Singh’s Passing Away
The death of Anupamaa actor Rituraj Singh made headlines on February 20, Tuesday. The actor suffered a cardiac arrest on February 19 and was immediately rushed to the hospital. As per a report by ETimes, Rituraj Singh was also undergoing treatment of the pancreas as he had been battling the pancreatic disease for quite some time. Reportedly, his close friend Amit Behl confirmed the news of his passing to the media. He also spoke about the actor’s battle with pancreatic disease.

Rituraj Singh was last seen as Yashpal in Rupali Ganguly starrer TV serial Anupamaa. The actor has done a long list of work in both TV and cinema. In Cinema, the actor has done movies like Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya, Satyamev Jayate 2, Yaariyan 2 and more. He has done serials like Adaalat, Diya Aur Baati Hum, and CID among many others.

Many celebrities from both TV and films mourned the actor’s death. Manoj Bajpayee, his Badrinath co-star Varun Dhawan, Hiten Tejwani and Kavita Kaushik among others reacted to this sad news. They paid their condolences on Twitter and expressed deep sadness about the passing of Rituraj K Singh. Everyone hailed Rituraj Singh’s contribution to cinema and praised him as a fine actor that the industry lost.

As per a report by Indian Express, Achint Kaur also expressed her shock and spoke about the close friendship she shared with Rituraj for over 25 years. She also spoke about the actor’s class-apart intelligence and the bond she shared with him on the set.
