This year, multiple Indian artists, including musicians Anoushka Shankar, Charu Suri, Shakti and more, have been nominated for the prestigious global honour aka the Grammys 2026, in various categories. This year, renowned composer and sitarist Anoushka Shankar has been nominated for her EP titled ‘Chapter III: We Return to Light’, which has made it to the Best Global Music Album category. She has also been nominated for ‘Daybreak’ in the Best Global Music Performance. The same category also includes Shakti’s ‘Shrini’s Dream’ nomination. Additionally, the group’s ‘Mind Explosion’ has garnered another nomination under the Best Global Music Album. Siddhant Bhatia’s ‘Sound of Kumba’ has been nominated for Best Global Music Album. Additionally, pianist Charu Suri’s ‘Shayan’ has garnered a nomination in the Best Contemporary Instrumental Album!
