Starring Annu Kapoor, Manoj Joshi in pivotal roles, Hamare Baarah faces ban by Karnataka Government. Here's why!

Films that deal with sensitive topics often face bans in major countries and cities to prevent the sentiments of viewers. Something similar happened with Hamare Baarah. Starring Annu Kapoor, Manoj Joshi in pivotal roles, the film explores the idea of overpopulation narrated through muslim characters. According to the latest update, the Karnataka government has banned the release or broadcast of the movie in the state.
As per Karnataka Cinema Regulations Act 1964, sections 15(1) and 15(5), the government revealed that the release can create communal feud amongst the citizens, leading to violence. The decision was made considering the demands of multiple minority organisations and religious community activists. Previously, actor Annu Kapoor also revealed that he has been facing many threats for being associated with the film. On Thursday, the Bombay High Court also ordered a constitution of a three-member committee to review the film. Court has also directed the makers to remove the trailers from social media.
The film slated to release on June 7, 2024 across the country.
