Anjana Om Kashyap Files Defamation Suit
According to the report by Live Law, Anjana Om Kashyap, journalist and managing editor of Aaj Tak and TV Today Network, the owner of the news channel have filed a defamation suit in the Delhi High Court against Faizal Khan, who is popularly known as Khan Sir. The journalist and the network have reportedly demanded Rs 2 crores in damages, alleging that Khan sir made defamatory remarks about Anjana after she bashed online educators during a broadcast about the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for medical college admissions. For the unversed, Anjana Om Kashyap called out online educators after the cancellation of the 2026 NEET-UG examination amid the claims of a paper leak. During the debate on May 29, the journalist shared her unfiltered opinion on online education and the rise of celebrity digital educators.

As per media reports, while responding to what Anjana Om Kashyap stated about online educators, Khan Sir accused the journalist of spreading fake news and being a “broker” for the government. Other online educators, including Abhinay Sharma, Babita Tyagi, and more, have also called her out over her criticism. According to the report, the suit also included a serious allegation stating that alleged details about the journalist’s child’s school were discussed publicly despite not having any relation to the debate over the education policy or the NEET controversy.
